Where can i take the Train from California to Oregon?
Me and my friends want to go to Oregon for vacation and i heard you can take The Train. Someone said the train is really exciting and its alot better than driving or flying. Anyone have any idea?
Amtrak runs several lines through Oregon.

Between Los Angeles and Eugene is the Coast Starlight, http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer/AM_Route_C/1241245648567/1237405732511 which goes through San Luis Obispo, San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, Chico, Redding, and about a dozen more California cities.

Not everyone would agree it’s better than flying or driving. You can’t take detours, and the schedule is a) slow and, b) a lot more unpredictable than Amtrak admits. Take your own food; the food service on board is surprisingly expensive, especially considering the poor selection and quality.
On the plus side is that rails go where autos don’t. Without roads outside the train windows, it is usually very scenic. Also, train travel is quite relaxing. There’s significant space to walk around, and lots of different places to stand or sit.
